NEALE R. RIFFERT was born in Norristown, PA. He was raised in the United Presbyterian Church and attended Temple University from 1958–1960. His theological training was at Reformed Episcopal Seminary, Philadelphia, PA from 1964–1967. After that he attended Grace Bible College, Omaha, NE, graduating in 1970. He was ordained by the Upper Midwest Presbytery of the Bible Presbyterian Church, Lincoln, NE on December 12, 1967. He entered the Reformed Church in the United States in 1970.

Reverend Riffert married Mary Elizabeth Vicario in 1960. They have four daughters, Keren, Naomi, Faith, and Idelette; they have one son, Neale, Jr.
